Your 14-year-old daughter shows up on MySpace in a bikini. Her 13-year-old friend is wearing a miniskirt that might make Britney Spears blush. Time to panic? Not necessarily.

Wearing short-shorts and belly shirts, grinding to hip-hop hits, and posting provocative pictures of themselves on the Internet — the behavior of many teen and tween girls has parents wondering if their daughters are bound for a lifetime of promiscuity and loose morals.

But some psychologists and child-development specialists believe nothing about the teenage drama has really changed. While young women may express their sexuality more overtly than they have in the past, for the most part, their behavior isn't cause for alarm. It's a necessary step in growing up.

Looking Sexy Doesn't Equate With Sexual Activity

Looks can be deceiving. A girl who puts a seductive picture of herself on the Internet for all to see may shudder at the thought of striking the same pose in front of her peers.

"There's a difference between posting a picture of yourself in virtual space, like Myspace or YouTube or Friendster, and posing in provocative clothing in public," said John Broughton, Columbia University professor of psychology and education.

Similarly, sexy clothes do not beget sexual activity.

Pole-dancing kit pulled from toy site

A pole-dancing kit was removed from the toys and games section of a British Web site after complaints from parents.

The Tesco Direct site advertised the kit with the words, "Unleash the sex kitten inside," the Daily Mail reported.

The kit included a chrome pole and a DVD demonstrating suggestive dance moves, the newspaper said.

Dr. Adrian Rogers of the group Family Focus said the kit would "destroy children's lives".

Tesco agreed to remove the product from the Toy section of the site, but said it will remain on sale as a Fitness Accessory. The company denied the pole dancing kit was sexually oriented and said it was clearly marked for "adult use," the newspaper said.

I want to start by saying that when i started this blog i got some help from a friend of my (now ex) girlfriend . Her name is Chloe and she is a genius with graphics (she's a graphic designer)!
She is the one who did my awesome header and the swirly pictures and stuff. I was so ecstatic by the way the blog looked that when she got too busy to do my graphics I didn't want to post until she had time to help me with it again! Lame excuse, I know. I was also concentrating a bit on my job as well.

But now she has transitioned to a new job and says she has time to help again. So I guess I will try my hand at making timely postings.

One last thing. If anyone knows of any business or website that would like to be reviewed here on my blog, please let me know. It has been a little discouraging trying to find subjects for reviewing due to the fact that i don't have a high ranking (yet!). It seems many businesses i have approached seem indifferent.

1. Know Thyself. In the quest to break out of your rut, consider yourself a private eye assigned to investigate the mysteries of your sexuality. What do you like? What do you fantasize about? Because our society defines sex so narrowly, a lot of people have trouble imagining sexual possibilities beyond their current repertoire. Start your investigation with a little research. Buy a general sex guide like The Good Vibrations Guide to Sex and take a good look at some of the activities that may have intrigued you in the past. Maybe you’ve always been curious about anal sex, or you’ve harbored a secret desire to be spanked. Give yourself permission to explore them further.

2.Talk Talk Talk. Talking to your partner about sex is crucial to developing a great sex life. And practicing your communication skills doesn’t have to be a drag. Taking turns telling each other hot stories is a great way to communicate to your partner what you like or what you’d like to explore. If talking seems too intimidating, consider writing your partner a note detailing one of your hottest fantasies, or agree to meet online and engage in a little cybersex. However, one of the best things about exploring new avenues in your sex life is that it builds intimacy between partners. On top of that, change requires risk-taking, which all by itself can set your pulse racing. Make the commitment to try at least one new thing each month. 5.Sex Dates. That’s right, make a date for sex. By penciling sex dates in on your calendar, you tap into a key ingredient of sexual arousal: anticipation.
